She married Thomas Exer Purdom in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1982. She worked as a home care Practical Nurse in Knox City for several years. Juanita moved to Plainview in 1975. She was a member of the Primative Baptist Church.
Survivors include 2 sons, Thomas J. and Bill Purdom both of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Mary Purdom of Plainview and Bonnie Purdom of Odessa; a sister, Margaret Bland of Dimmitt; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John H. Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Sanders Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to VistaCare Hospice of Plainview.
