Born May 2, 1915, in Ryde, she was a daughter of the late Frank T. and Mary (Freed) Casner. She was united in marriage to E. Bruce Bratton, who preceded her in death April 3, 1995. Mrs. Bratton is survived by a son and a daughter, Bruce F. Bratton and wife, Holly, Harrisburg; and Shari M. Woodward, Ryde. She is also survived
by six grandchildren, Eric D. Bratton, Christine L. Heilman, Shandra L. Covert, Bruce J. Bratton, Robert E. Myers III and Carl A. Woodward Jr. She was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald, Edwin and Barry. Four sisters, Romaine Miller, Della Moist, Gladys Renninger and Madeline Moist, also preceded her in death. A member of the Ryde United Methodist Church, Mrs. Bratton played the piano and organ there for many years, as well as at the
McVeytown Presbyterian Church. Primarily a homemaker, she
also served as a secret sister in the community. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the
Harshbarger Funeral Home, McVeytown, with the Rev. Frank
Moist officiating. Interment will be in the Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown. Friends may call at the funeral
home from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be
sent to the Ryde United Methodist Church, 80 Ryde Road, McVeytown, PA 17051; or to the Woodland Retirement Center, P.O. Box 280, Orbisonia, PA 17243.
