Illness fatal to Ted Caron.

Following an illness of two weeks, Edward Leon (Ted) Caron, 57, Union City businessman for the past 35 years, died Sunday at 9:10 a. m. in the Union City hospital. Death was attributed to embolism following an appendectomy.

The deceased was born in Union City on December 24, 1884,(**stone shows 1886) the son of John and Lydia (Romeiser) Caron. He attended the St. Mary's parochial school and was a member of the St. Mary's church. Mr. Caron also was a member of the Union City Elks lodge and a former member of the K. of C. lodge. He was united in marriage with Anna Dean on November 12, 1919, in Union City.

Starting many years ago with one of the first taxis in Union City, Mr. Caron branched into the auto repair and automobile sales business. At the time of his death he operated the Caron Auto Sales, located on Broadway street in the business district.

Surviving, besides the widow, Anna, is one sister, Mrs. Harley Bowers, Union City. Two sisters and four brothers have preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a. m. in the Union City St. Mary's church, with Rev. Aquinas Knoff officiating. Burial will be in the Union City cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Fraze funeral home in Union City to the Caron residence, 615 North Howard street, where friends may call after 2 p. m. today.

An Elks lodge of sorrow will be held Tuesday at 7 p. m. at the residence.
