Bert F. Talkington, died Sunday evening at the community hospital where he was taken for treatment Saturday. He lived on route 3 in the Burnsville community most of his life.
Mr. Talkington was born Feb. 4, 1873, in Decatur county, the son of George and Ann Talkington. His wife preceded him in death in 1932.
Surviving is one son, Ralph Talkington of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne H. Miller and Mrs. Dale Stitsworth of Columbus; three grandchildren, Sharon Kay Talkington and Jeri and Janet Stitsworth; a sister, Mrs. Vinnie Burns of Columbus; and a brother, Rome Talkington of Grammer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home, conducted by Dr. T.K. Smith. Burial will be made at the Burnsville cemetery.
The casket is open at the funeral home until time of the services.
