Recent Deaths
CUTTER – Funeral services for John E. Cutter, 55, of Covington, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Douglas Christian Union Church. Rev. Wallace Lanton of Hennessey officiated, and burial was in Covington Cemetery.
Mr. Cutter died Monday night at his home three miles south of Covington. He had lived in the community 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Charles; five daughters, Dora, Eula Fern and Donna Marie of the home; Mrs. Delmer Scott of Douglas; and Mrs. Mike Weller of Hutchinson, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Irey, Enid; and Mrs. Molly Johnson of Covington.

Douglas
The community was shocked by the sudden death of John Cutter at his home Monday evening. Mr. Cutter had been working in the field during the day, without complaining of illness. Coming into the house, he fell, death occurring before aid could be summoned. He was a highly esteemed citizen and a faithful worker in the Christian Union Church. He is survived by his wife, one son, Charles; five daughters, Dora, Eula Fern and Donna Marie of the home, Mrs. M. Weller of Kansas; and Mrs. Delmar Scott of Douglas; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Irey of Enid and Mrs. Mollie Johnson of Covington and other relatives.
