Fred Slanger, 81, Dies

Fred J. Slanger, 81, 106 18th St. SW, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was a retired flour mill and brewery worker.

He was born July 31, 1891, at Utica, N.Y., and in 1911 came with his family to the Sun River Bench area where they homesteaded. About 1947, he came to Great Falls and was employed by the flour mill and Great Falls Brewery. He retired in 1962.

He married the former Lois C. Swalvie in 1935. She survives, as do a brother, John, and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Lucas and Mrs. Josephine Stafford, all of Great Falls.
