AUGUSTA, Ga. -Mrs. Jane G. Duggan, 86, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at her residence on Dickey Road, Augusta. She was the wife of the late Mr. Jesse Dan Duggan. She is survived by her sons, Mr. Stanley Duggan and Mr. Danny Duggan both of Augusta; her daughter, Mrs. Janella Huckabee of Hephzibah; a brother, Mr. Gete Garner of Alvaton, Ga.; her sisters, Mrs. Hattie A. Heath of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Lizetta Williamson of Woodbury, Ga.; one grandchild and one great grandchild. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 1 p.m. in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Duggan, a native of Alvaton, Ga., in Meriwether County, had lived in the Augusta area since 1943. She was the daughter of the late Burtis and Hattie Garner. Mrs. Duggan had been a school teacher at the Alvaton-Carmel School, Alvaton, Ga. for two years, the Warthen School for one year in Sandersville, Ga., the Davisboro School in Sandersville for two years duri ng World War II, Evans Elementary for one year and a substitute teacher at Wilkinson Gardens Elementary School in Augusta. She had attended LaGrange College for one and a half years and the University of Georgia for one and a half years. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta for over forty years where she was a former Sunday School teacher.
