Aug. 1983 Resident Of Care Center Dies At 96
A resident of Anderson County most of her life, Mrs. Martha Reynolds, 96,died at 2:45 a.m.Monday at Lafollette Hospital.
Mrs. Reynolds,formerly of Hicks St.in Clinton,had been living at Lake City Health Care Center since May.
Mrs. Reynolds, a native of Scott County,was a member of the Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. her husband, Ike Reynolds, died in May shortley after both moved to the nursing home.
She also was preceded in dead by two daughters, Beulah Thomas, who died five years ago, and Elsie Raby, who died earlier this summer.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs.Ernest Lee (Georgia) Hatmaker of Clinton, a son,Beecher Bunch of Clinton, 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Holley-Gamble Funeral in Clinton with the Rev.James Cox officiating. Burial was in Jarnigan Chapel Cemetery.
