MRS. SMITH, KNOX RD WOMAN, DIES
Clarion - Mrs. Estella (Cozie) Smith, 71, of Knox RD 2, wife of Merle F. Smith, died at 9:30 am Friday at her home.
She was born July 28, 1903, in Piney Township, Clarion County, a daughter of James Edward and Hattie Beck Ambrose.
On July 23, 1919, she married Merle F. Smith who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Charles L. Smith of Slippery Rock, Joseph T. Smith of Coppal, Merle F. Smith Jr. of Franklin RD 2 and Arthur E. Smith of Clarion RD 2; a daughter, Mrs. Wade (Mary) Hartzell of Knox RD 2; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and two half brothers, Floyd Ambrose of Niles, Ohio, and Walter Beck of Clarion RD 2.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a sister, three half-brothers and a half-sister.
Friends may call after 7 pm today at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Louis Fox officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park.
