"Martha Leona Spencer, the two and one-half years old daughter of Mr and Mrs Lawrence K Spencer, 383 King avenue, and their only child, died at Mt Carmel hospital Thursday night, from a peculiar ailment. The little girl was afflicted with warts growing on the inside of the larynx and trachea. Because of a cold which she caught, causing the warts to enlarge and therefore increase the obstruction, physicians were unable to save her life.
"Funeral services will be held at the residence, 383 King avenue, Friday evening at 7:30, Rev Mr Harris of the Fifth avenue U B church, officiating."
The above was taken from a paper published in Columbus, Ohio. The body arrived here Saturday, accompanied by the parents, and was taken to the home of E D George, from which home the funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by the pastor of the M E church, south, following which interment was made in the Wildwood cemetery.
Both Mr and Mrs Spencer are well known here where they resided for a number of years.
