Mrs Higgins was born in Riverside and resided in Florence Township for the past 36 years. She was a member of the Burlington Presbyterian Church and the church's Willing Workers Society. She had served as the church historian.
She is survived by her husband, Isaac (Ike) Higgins; two daughters Mrs Mary Jane Oblander of Jobstown and Mrs Stella Fleetwood of Levittown, two sons, Harry Higgins of Florence Township and Edward Higgins of Burlington Township; two sisters, Mrs Emma Debolt of Beverly and Mrs Beatrice Pfister of Edgewater Park; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11am at the Burlington Presbyterian Church,Mill Road Burlington. Rev John W Wadsworth will be officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Florence. Friends may call Sunday 7 to 9 pm at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W Front Street Florence.
