Kathleen Ann Theroux, 61, a resident of Dimondale, MI, passed away June 9, 2010, after a courageous, 20-month battle with brain cancer. She was the daughter of Louis and Jean Theroux, who preceded her in death. Kathleen was a registered nurse and a graduate of the LCC nursing program. She worked for many years at St. Lawrence Hospital and then Sparrow Hospital. Kathleen enjoyed hiking in the Alps, where, for more than 15 years, she co-led groups of hikers. Left to cherish her memory are: her brother, John; sister-in-law, Maureen; nephew, Josh; niece, Mia; along with extended family and friends. Her funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery -- the final resting place of both of her parents, Louis and Jean. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were asked to be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in her memory.

Upon the passing of Kathleen, Irene and Lorraine Wos wrote, "We had known Kathleen for about 10 years. We worked with Kathleen at St. Lawrence Hospital. Our greatest memories will be the cross country skiing we did in Holt. We will all certainly miss her, and we just wanted everyone to know how much we enjoyed knowing Kathleen and that she was a great friend."

Peggy Brown wrote, "I worked with Kathleen for 14 years and have known her for 30. Kathleen was always a joy to be around and a great person and friend. I will miss Kathleen."

Jeff Tucker wrote, "I first met Kathleen in Zermatt in 2001, and was delighted to find myself hiking with her again in Sulden and Welschnofen, and again in Champoluc and Cogne. I always enjoyed the times I spent with her - her warmth, her sense of humor, and her good spirits even when conditions were less than ideal made her the best traveling companion one could hope for. I'm going to miss her terribly."
