She was the former Carol Lynn Zimmerman and a member of Southeast Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband Dwayne Fitzgerald; daughters, Sarah, Kimberly and Stephanie Ballinger; grandchildren, Noah, Abby, Aubree, Makenna, Kaylee and Kori Reese; and stepchildren, Kayla, Cody, and Cheyenne Fitzgerald.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
