William Aydlett Nall was born near Hume, Missouri, in Bates County to Robert and Emma Dewitt Nall on March 4, 1890.

He passed away on June 8, 1969, in the Ottawa hospital. As a young man he gave his life to God and joined the Underwood Methodist church near Hume.

On January 6, 1915, he was joined in marriage to Etta L. Wilson in Nevada, Missouri.

To this union five children were born, One daughter, Erma Evelyn died in infancy. The four surviving children are: Mrs. Roberta Pendleton, Holt, Missouri; Mr. Robert Nall, Holt, Missouri; Mrs. Wilma Pierce, Lyndon and Mr. Rex Nall, Gladstone, Missouri.

Mr. and Mrs. Nall moved from southern Missouri in 1936 to a farm near Holt, Missouri. They were active in school and church work there until he retired in 1958. At that time they bought a home in Vassar, Kansas, where they made their home until his death. He loved his family and enjoyed their presence. He especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his widow, of the home; four children, eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lelia Zilliox, Lawrence, Kansas, Mrs. Reba Ritter, Nevada, Missouri and Miss Ival Nall, Kansas City, Missouri; many relatives and friends.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church, Vassar, Kansas, June 11, 1969, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Jensen, officiating. Mrs. Wilma Woodruff and Mrs. Dorothy Woodruff sang "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset", accompanied by Miss Kathy Tillman. Pallbearers were John Tillman, Wallace Miller, Charlie Woodward, Elwood Sowell, Fred Masenthin and Clarence Woodruff. Interment was in Vassar Cemetery, Vassar, Kansas. Arrangements were by Feltner Funeral Home.
