Son of David Reynolds Rowley and Arlatia Elizabeth Woodruff. He ran away from home after his mother died, at about 16, worked in Texas and Arizona as a cowboy. He was very good with animals and got the nickname Doc. He was a forest ranger on Mt. Graham. He married Josie Mae Anglin. These are my grandparents. My mother was Laura Jean Rowley.
