Mary came to her death as the result of an accident by being struck by the morning train # 954 on the Missouri/Illinois Railroad at Elvinns (Park Hills), St. Francois Co. MO. She died a few minutes after being struck.
The Gibson cemetary is in bad disrepair, with some of the graves being sunken, the headstones broken or are not remaining, & no outer road being available to access this cemetary. At some time past, there was a footpath that one could walk to get there, but a house has been built now, & a no trespassing zone has been established. There have been some improvements by our historical society, but most have simply been grown over again.
