Evelyn was a homemaker. They lived in Springdale, Arkansas, Unadilla, and Elmwood. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary #247, Elmwood; St. Paul United Methodist Church, U.M.W., and the Jesse Bragge Circle.
Survivors include a son, Donald A. and Sherry, Lincoln; daughter Marilyn and Jim Schreiner, Elmwood; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye English, Queen City, Texas; Marjorie Taylor, Prescott, Arizona. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Alton and Earl.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Elmwood, with Rev. Dwight DeLaet officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Brett and Brad McCormick, Cory Comstock, Steve Schreiner, Denene Owens and Julie Tartaglia. Ethel Richert was the organist. Julie Tartaglia and Tim Owens sang accompanied by Denene Owens. Burial in Unadilla Cemetery, Unadilla, Nebr.
