Funeral mass for Robert Paul Demarest,64, of Garland, TX was held at 10:00 a.m. Mon June 27, 1994 at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Wake service was held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 1994 in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Robert Paul Demarest was born July 10, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of George H. and Arma (Saamundsen)Demarest and died June 23, 1994 in Texas. He and Yvonne Horn were married Sept. 9, 1952 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Chickasha. Mr. Demarest was Quality Assurance Representative for the government. He retired Aug. 31, 1993.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Arma Demarest and two infant brothers. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Demarest, Garland, TX; a daughter, Carolyn Renee Demarest, Garland, TX; two sisters, Mildred C. Turk, Hollywood, FL, and Dorothy A. Donnelly, Staten Island, NY; two nephews, Clifford Turk, Hollywood, FL and Robert J. Donnelly, Staten Island, NY. Interment was held at the Alex Cemetery under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home.
