Fidelia and her husband moved from New York state to the wilds of Mecosta county, Michigan. Her health began to suffer, so they moved to Delaware, Ohio, but sadly the mother of three died from complications of childbirth, and her infant son Byron(1864-1864) is buried in the same casket.
