Came to Stonington, Connecticut in about the year 1685. He settled on lands which he purchased of the Winthrops, just north of what is now Old Mystic, near the junction of the Lantern Hill road with the turnpike. He married first 24 January 1687 Mary Wheeler the daughter of Isaac and Martha (Park) Wheeler. She died 3 Nov 1709. He remarried 2 July 1711 Sarah, Daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (French) Hammond of Newton; She died 5 September 1751.
