John C. Haybarger, died at his home in Mackinaw, Illinois on January 23, 1921.

He was born on July 30, 1827 in Augusta, West Virginia a son of Abraham & Mary (Chrobarger) Haybarger.

He married Catherine Puterbaugh on October 5, 1855 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Several children were born to this union, the only one surviving at his death was Mrs. George Miller of Danvers, Illinois.

He married Almeda Lamason on July 17, 1885 in Tazewell County, Illinois.

He engaged in the milling business for several years. Also he occupied several offices of public trust being Justice of the Peace for 12 years and was elected as supervisor of Mackinaw Township and held also minor places of other kinds.

In all his relations of life he lived the career of an upright and trustworthy citizen, and his reputation for probity and honesty was well known.

Mr. Haybarger was a life-long member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as an elder in that church.
