Ethel Crisp, age 95, of Murphy, NC passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of Lloyd and Ida Patterson Martin.

Ethel was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ethel enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and preserving the fruits of her labor; she also enjoyed her flower garden, she grew anything from regular flowers to roses and often would dig and grow wild wood flowers.

She loved her cows.

Ethel was a member of the New Martins Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Eugene Crisp and second husband, Glen William Crisp; two grandchildren, Roddie Coffey and Brandus Crisp; two great-grandchildren, Jacquelin Crisp and Desiree Mull; one brother, George Lex Martin; seven sisters, Annie Carringer, Helen Cearley, Lora Bell Crisp, Iva Lou McCullough, Arvil Shelton, Otis Crowe and Arlene Hardman; and son-in-law, Kenneth Coffey.

Burial: New Martins Creek Baptist Church.
