Alvin (Whitey) P. Adams, 80 years young, who passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28th, 2010, just two months after the death of his beloved wife Eloise R. Adams. His quiet presence will be missed by his six surviving children/their spouses, as well his joyful laughter and smile when he was with each of his 10 grandchildren. Join us to celebrate our father's legacy of simplicity and honor in all things. Native to New Orleans, he retired from a career with Chevron's aircraft division in 1992. His greatest pleasures were spending time and 'tinkering' at home, reading history, discovery, political or non-fiction books and articles, listening to music and sharing time with his family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
