Survived by two daughters, Patricia Mertz, Greenwell Springs, and Melia Kay Hicks, Baton Rouge; a sister, Peggy Browning, Liberty, Miss.; and two grandchildren, Chris Mertz and Kala Hicks.
Preceded in death by husband, Ray L. Bridges; a son, Franklin R. Bridges; and a brother, David "Sonny" Shaffet.
