Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon III and Cheryl Lindsey Boswell, Denham Springs; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane Boswell and William Robinson, Vero Beach, Fla.; two brothers, retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Robert Lee Boswell, a veteran of World War II, of Gretna, and U.S. Army Sgt. Laurie Boswell, a veteran of World War II and the invasion of Normandy, and his wife, Marian Boswell of Covington; two grandchildren, Brett Boswell, Arlington, Texas, and Fara Renee Musser, Ponchatoula; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Renee Musser.
Preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ware Dunn Boswell; parents, Gordon Sr. and Laura Lee Boswell; and a brother, Gantt Chandler Boswell, who served in the U.S. Navy as an aviator during World War II and was killed in action during the battle of Guadalcanal in 1944. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, pass commander of Military Order of World Wars and Free and Accepted Masons.
