Rosina arrived in New York City from her home in Bern, Switzerland, on 26 April 1851. She sailed on the ship Northumberland from London, England, with her parents, David and Magdalena, and her brothers, Christian and Johannes. The family settled in Holmes County, Ohio. Rosina was nine years old.

The 1860 federal census of Paint Township, Holmes County, Ohio, enumerates Rosina in the household with her parents and siblings. David Yaegerlehner, 52, is a weaver with $100 in his personal estate. His wife, Magdalena Yaegerlehner, is 52. Their children are daughter, Rosina, 18, and sons John, 17, and Christian, 23. All were born in Switzerland.

Rosina married Thomas Holmes McCormick on 21 November 1861, in Dundee, Ohio when she was twenty years old. They had eight children in 19 years. Their first move to Indiana was between the birth of Wilhelmina, called Minnie, on 16 August 1866 in Liberty Center, Ohio, and Della Clara, born on 19 October 1868 in Poe, Allen, Indiana. Their moves between Indiana and Ohio can be traced by the births of their children. They stayed in Allen County from 1893 until their deaths.

Both of the McCormicks were active in the West Creighton Avenue Christian Church. Their names appear in church records documenting their service.

Rosina died on 24 May 1914 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 72 and was buried in Lindenwood Cemetery. Her descendants are literally buried "from sea to shining sea."
