Carl Bentsen
Carl Bentsen died May 14 at his home in Deming, New Mexico.
He was born August 12, 1910 in Montpelier, Idaho, the eldest son of Chris and Sophronia Dayton Bentsen. He worked as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years,
out of Rawlins, Wyoming. He retired in 1975 and moved to
Deming, New Mexico. Survivors include his wife, Cassie
Bentsen, two sons, Robert and Jimmey Bentsen,. Rawlins,
Wyoming; two daughters, Jane Ann Clegg, Rawlins, and Caroline Bentsen, Salt Lake City, Utah, five stepchildren, Dwayne and Charlie, Morris, Inez Grant, and Flora Berend, all of Deming, and Genell Robinson, Las Cruses, New Mexico; a brother, A.J. Bentsen, Montpelier; Elma Moss. Montpelier; Virl McMurray, Pocatello and Bonnie Berg of Salt Lake City;
seven grand children and 2 step grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers. He was a member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services were held Friday, May 17 in Deming. Burial was in
Mountain View Cemetery in Deming, New Mexico.
