Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church in Winnfield Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the pastor, Rev. R. H. Staples, and Dr. W. L. Holcomb, officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Curry was born December 22, 1886 in the Curry Community in Winn Parish, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Curry. He was employed as timber and land man for the Mansfield Hardwood Lumber Company in this area for 27 years and
retired in May of 1943 due to ill health. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and was a Mason and Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula Wasson Curry; three stepchildren, Mrs. Kathryn Dodgen of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Deany Fraser of Lake Charles, and Buddy Ford of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Peters of Monroe and Mrs. Carmel Gaiser of Springhill; two brothers, A. E. Curry of Detroit, Michigan and Clarence Curry of Vicksburg, Miss.
Pallbearers were Bill Postle, Ed Grigg, Tracy Harrel, Dudley Shell, Howard Boyett, and Harper Terrill.
