LAST RITES HELD HERE SUNDAY FOR ROBERT J. DUNN, 85
Funeral services were held here Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Sutphen Funeral Home for Robert J. Dunn of Anacortes, Washington, formerly for many years a resident of this vicinity.
The Rev. E. M. Euchre was in charge of the service and burial was in the Arlington Cemetery. The singing was by Mrs. Maude Scott, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Grace Nordyke and the pall bearers were James A. Dunn, John Farlin, John Baker, Ray Dunn, Willis Dunn, and Frank Moritz.
Robert J. Dunn was born in Montgomery County, Iowa August 23, 1861 and died at Anacortes, Washington, October 8, 1946 at the age of 85 years.
He was united in marriage to Ruth E. Harris, November 11, 1881 and to this union three sons were born, Claude of Anacortes, Leon, who died in 1930, and Rex who died in infancy.
Mr. Dunn lived in Montgomery County, Iowa till the year of 1919 when he moved with his family to Grangeville, Idaho, where he made his home till the time of his recent illness, when he went to make his home with his son Claude in Anacortes.
His wife preceded him in death January 23, 1929. Besides his son he leaves 6 grandchildren, Robert C. Dunn, Donald E. Dunn, Manford D. Dunn, and Darel R. Dunn, Mrs. Ruth E. Delorme, and Earling Dunn. One grandson, Harry is deceased. There are also two great grandchildren, Bonnie and Michael.
