Mary Schultz Dies Following Long Illness. Mrs. Sam Schultz (Mary) died at 6:00 o’clock Monday evening at Sacred Heart hospital. She had been ill many months, had undergone surgery twice within the last year and a half. Her condition had been serious all along but she continued to fight for recovery, and until the past three weeks she was about, reporting to teach her class of small children at the Community Sunday School, doing some 4-H work, advising in Rebekah work by virtue of her position as current district deputy of Magnolia Rebekah lodge. Her husband, and her children Miss Cathryn Schultz in nurses’ training at Sacred Heart hospital, and son Ted, student at EWSC Cheney, and other kin have stood close by these last few months. Because The Citizen is being issued early this week, the obituary for Mrs. Schultz will be published next week, Her last rites, under direction of Thornhill-Geraghty Funeral Home in Spokane, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, from the Community Congregational church; Rev. Richard England will officiate. Magnolia Rebekah lodge will give their ritualistic last rites at the church, following the church rites, instead of at the cemetery. This arrangement is requested by the family because of indefinite weather conditions.
