George Wesley Barringer was born in 1882, the son of Wiley Barringer. On Dec. 25, 1902, at age 19, he married Lucy Roxie (Isenhoun) and lived in North Carolina. Nine months to the day, Elise Irene was born. They then had 2 boys, Roy Glenn and Howard BFM. Seven years into the marriage, he left Lucy (1909). The 1910 US Federal Census shows his age as 28 and still in North Carolina.
He ran away to Tennessee, met and married (despite never divorcing Lucy) Nina Irma Wagner. They moved to Arkansas where he got a job working on the railroad. They also had 3 children - Albert Wesley, Perry Ralph (Slim) and Eugene. He manufactured a new identity, Wesley Homer Barringer, born in Hamilton, TN on August 15, 1887 (changed from 1882). The 1920 US Federal Census shows his age as 37, married to Nina with their then 8 year old son, Albert. The 1930 US Federal Census shows his age as 40, 1940 Census age 52. His WWI Registration card shows his birth year as 1887, age 54. He died and was buried in Arkansas with the name Wesley Homer on his gravestone.
