Mr. Young, widely-known in Troy as a meat cutter the last five years at Dildine's Market, died at Stouder Memorial Hospital after a five-month illness. He resided at 604 South Clay Street.
Rev. Raymond Giffin will officiate, and burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Friends may call at the Irvin Funeral Home until 11 a.m. tomorrow. Mr. Young was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Tipp City, which will hold services at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Young was a native of Vandalia and attended Tipp City schools. He formerly lived in Fort Loramie, moving to Miami County 13 years ago.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Marcella DeLaet Young; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Ellis of Dayton; three sons, Richard and Hayden of Troy, and Jack, of Blue Ball; three brothers, Harry and Wilbur of Dayton, and Harvey of Tipp City; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Whitmer of Vandalia, and Mrs. Ruth Seabold of Troy; and one grandchild.
