Pleasant Andrew YORK is my 3rd Great Grandfather. His daughter, Martha YORK WOODS is my direct ancestress through her DAUGHTER Mary Jane YORK...not sibling. Mary Jane did not die in 1865 but moved to Arkansas with her mother Martha and step father, John WOODS. She, Mary Jane, married in Arkansas to Ruben Capers ROGERS. Mary Jane died in Phoenix in 1949. She out lived her daughter, Fannie Luella ROGERS BAILEY by a year or two...can't recall which at the moment.

Mary Jane YORK (ID 53257313) died in January 1949 in Phoenix, AZ. Martha YORK was her mother, and my 3rd Great Grandmother. We do not, at this time know who her father may have been - John WOODS was her step-father. When John and Martha married, they all moved to Arkansas where she was known as Mary Jane WOODS. She married Ruben Capers ROGERS (ID 53257518) in Arkansas and they moved across the southern-western states where they both died in Phoenix, AZ.
Thank you for correcting this misconception in her death because she moved - with her mother - to Arkansas. Louise Norgaar, Great-Great Grand-daughter of Mary Jane York Rogers
