Bernard M. O'Donnell, 91 years old of Elyria, Ohio died on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria.
Mr. O'Donnell was born on March 18, 1918 in Elyria and lived here all of his life. He served with the United States Army and he attended St. Francis Seminary in Mount St. Francis, Indiana. He was the owner and operator of O'Donnell Paint and Wallpaper Company in Elyria and he also worked as a salesman for Edward Hart Company for 17 years. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Jo Reagan (Brendon, deceased) of Bay Village and Martha (Robert) Yanover of York, Pennsylvania; five sons, Bernard M. O'Donnell (Mary Ann Wilson) and Mark O'Donnell (Bonnie) both of Elyria, Michael O'Donnell (Suzi) of Irwin, PA., David O'Donnell (Lori) of Longmont, CO., and John O'Donnell (Megan) of Avon Lake; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Bernice Penelli of California and Rosemary Kelleher of Toledo; and one brother, Robert O'Donnell of Elyria.
Mr. O'Donnell was preceded in death by his wife, June E. (nee Barchard) O'Donnell; and two brothers, Alfred and Edward O'Donnell.
