Billie's parents were Edgar Allen and Sybil Bagwell Asbury. He graduated from high school in Fittstown, Oklahoma, and attended Murray State School of Agriculture in Tishomingo and East Central State College in Ada. Joined the U. S. Army January 15, 1942 and died of wounds suffered in action.

ASBURY RITES TO BE TODAY
Asher, Sept. 18--(Special)--Services for Pfc. Billy Bob Asbury, 24, Byars, Route 2, will be at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in the Asher High School auditorium. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery.
Asbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Asbury, now of Delhi, Calif., was killed in action in France Nov. 26, 1944. He entered service Jan. 15, 1941.
Born in McClain County, Asbury attended Fittstown High School, East Central State College at Ada and Murray College, Tishomingo.
Other survivors are two brothers, Ed Asbury Jr., Tulsa, and Max Asbury, Delhi; one sister, Mrs. H. T. Williams, Norman, and a grandfather, A. F. Asbury, Byars.
