Dave was the fourth child of 11 born to Tom and Mabel Lester. David died peaceful at home in Puyallup WA. He was 98.
He was a World War II Veteran. At the age of 24, Cpl. David Lester fought in the Battle of Metz, Belgian Bulge and Ruhr pocket, and holds a Presidential citations and a Purple Heart.
He first married was to Della Fay Crosby this was a short marriage with no children.
Second marriage Lottie Lowe 1946. One son was born to the union.
Third marriage was to June Elaine Prendergast in 1954. June and David did not have any children.

There will be a viewing at Mt. View Funeral Home Aug. 28th from 10am-7pm, 4100 Steilacoom Blve. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. A Memorial on Sept. 4th from 2pm-4pm at the Amvets hall 5717 S. Tyler, Tacoma. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, his wife June and his son David. He is survived by his grandchildren Tommy and Tonya and 4 generations of nieces and nephews.
