Ed Winn, age 67 of Dyer, IN, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; one daughter, Denise (Jamie) Friesema; two grandchildren: Alex and Kiera; and three sisters: Elsa Murrie, Maureen Koesterer and Marcia (Gerry) Nagy.

Ed was preceded in death by his son, Michael. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road Lansing, IL.

Interment of cremains will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 4, 2010, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ed was born October 18, 1942 in Kenosha, WI.

He served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged in 1967.

Ed worked in the trucking industry until he retired in 2002.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Soldiers' Angels, 1792 East Washington Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91104.
