Mr. Gus Webb Power, age 46 years, passed away at his home on the Atlanta Road, near Fair Oaks, December 31st, after an extended illness.
The funeral service was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, from Sandy Springs Methodist church. Rev. W. F. Burdett and Rev. S. A. F. Wagner officiating. Interment was in the Sandy Springs cemetery.
The pallbearers were Messrs. J. W. Nance, R. L. Wood, Jr., T. J. Allen, E. B. Hughes, L F. Parker, and W. J. Brown.
Mr. Power was born and reared near Sandy Springs Camp Ground, having worked for the Georgia Power Company since 1909 until his health gave away about two years ago. He was a member of the Sandy Springs Methodist church. He had many friends here in Marietta, and Cobb county, and will be greatly missed. Mayes Ward & Company.
