Mrs. Eva Davis, 74, widow of the late Rev. Jack Davis, died Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.H. Horning, at Shady Grove. She had been ill since Friday of uremic posioning. She was born on March 8, 1863, and was a member of the Blackburn Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Horning, Mrs. George Boyd, of Crittenden County, and Mrs. Fannie Boyd, Providence; one son, Leslie B. Davis of Jeffersonville, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. W.B. Stembridge, Crittenden County.
Funeral services were held at noon Wednesday at the Blackburn Church with the Rev. Spurlin Woodall in charge. Burial was made in the adjacent cemetery.
