Mr. Bowman farmed until 1945 when he became the owner and operator of a phosphate and lime spreading operation. Hw was a member of Waveland Christian Church.
He was born April 15, 1908, at Hillsboro to Tolbert and Nellie Ethel Summers Bowman. He married Mildred Dark Jan. 24, 1929, at Danville, Ind. She survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Vera Kisner of Rt.1, Marshall, and Hazel Moffett of Kingman, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral servives are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at Machledt & Sevies Funeral Home at Waveland with the Rev. David Finney officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery near Wallace. Friends may call 5-8 pm today at the funeral home.
