Mrs. Emily Everett Dead.
The sad.news of the death of Mrs. Emily Burr Everett, which occurred: in Germantown, near Philadelphia, Pa. after a short illness, was received Monday. Mrs. Everett; who was about 60 years old, was the widow of the late Edward Everett, of this city, who was for many years a popular conductor on the Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line. She lived in Wilmington until about six years ago, when she went to Germantown to reside with her daughter, Mrs. M. W. Goddard.
She was a daughter of the late Col. J. G. and Mary Anna Burr, an old arid prominent family of the lower Cape Fear.
Those surviving her have the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The remains were brought to this city and the funeral was from the Church of the Good Shepherd on Wednesday, Rev. W. R. Noe conducting the services.
The interment was in Oakdale cemetery.
