William Henry Davis was born on 27 October 1756, in Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. His parents were Samuel Davis (1734 PA - 1799 Delaware Co., PA) and Margarete Matthews (1735 Wales - 1833 IL). He married Isabella Scott in 1784. They were the parents of ten children. He lived in Washington Co., Pennsylvania in 1790. He died on 14 February 1834 at the age of 77, and was buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Center Township, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania
