Menard, Feb. 14 (SC)- Funeral services for Ernest M. Alexander, 77, a resident of Menard for the last 55 years, were held Sunday afternoon at Mission Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Alexander died at 1 a.m. Sunday at the family residence here. He was a stockfarmer.

The Rev. J. H. E. Willman, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated at services with burial in Pioneer Rest Cemetery.

Mr. Alexander was born Jan. 28, 1877 in Gillespie County. He married the former Miss Beatrice Simpson Jan. 16, 1901.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Jackson of Menard and Mrs. Clarence Williams of Lueders; four brothers, L. B. Alexander and Sam Alexander, both of Corpus Christi, C. A. Alexander of San Antonio and W. P. Alexander of San Angelo; two sisters, Mrs. E.M. Young of Brady and Mrs. M. E. Soules, also of Brady; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jess Slaughter, Stockton Cannon, Edgar Bradford, C.B. Mohler, J.H. Cannon and Walter Smith.
