Charles J. "Pitt" Hyer, 74, of. Point Pleasant, W. Va. died in a Point Pleasant hosital, after a long illness. He was a lawyer for Hyer & Littlepage, Point Pleasant, and was a member of Mason County Bar Association, West Virginia State Bar, Kiwanis Club, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Sigma Chi fraternity and Trinity United Methodist Church. He was on the board zoning appeals, board of directors of Citizens National Bank, and on the board of trustees at Pleasant Valley Hospital. Surviving: wife, Lillian Gillespie Hyer; daughters, Sally Davis of Vermillion, Ohio, Jane Pringle of Ketchikan, Alaska; three grandchildren. Burial in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant.
