Ralph Wheeler Atkinson (1902-1950), 47, a lifelong resident of Federal Point, died in a St. Augustine hospital last night
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Augustine, with Rev. Charles C. Moore, officiating, assisted by Rev. W. Pipes Jones, of Palatka. Interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Craig Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel from 8 p.m. tonight until time of services.
The deceased was a prominent farmer and was graduated from St. Augustine High School and later from The Citadel, Charleston, S.C. He had been in ill health for some time. He was a member of Palatka Lodge No 1232, BPOE.
Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Virginia Jenkins Fant Atkinson and mother, Mrs. Lula J. Atkinson, of Federal Point.
