ELMA HAUSCHILD
Mrs. Elma C. Hauschild, 83, of 705 S. Liberty St., died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital after a short illness.
A former resident of Houston, she was born March 10, 1898, in Hempstead, the daughter of the late E. and Hulda Glen Crew.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Mrs. Hauschild was preceded in death by her son, Homer Hauschild Jr.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Gino Bernasconi officiating.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery No. 1 with McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A rosary will be recited Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Hauschild is survived by her husband, Homer H. Hauschild of Victoria; two daughters, Mrs. Madeline Smith of San Antonio and Mrs. Elinor Thompson of Victoria; and eight grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
