W.H. Whittaker of Dickens County died in Clarendon Monday morning and was buried that evening. Deceased was a consumptive and was traveling in a wagon with his family and younger brother trying to benefit himself. He got above Amarillo and saw that the high altitude was very much worse for him and was on his return home and was camped for the night here in town. Death came to him just as the sun came up for the day with only his loved ones by him as he lay on his bed in his wagon, in the town in which all were stranger to him and his family, but as soon as it was known, many citizens gathered about and every kindness...bottom of paper torn off so rest of article not available.
