Daughter of farmer David King of Moneygreggan and his first wife Mary Jane Patterson from Rubbleshinney, County Donegal, Ireland.

In 1877 Jeanie King married bookkeeper John Patterson at the Waterside Presbyterian Church, Glendermott, Derry City. They moved to No. 20 Marlborough Terrace in Derry where their five children were born.

Sadly Jeanie died just 33 days after the birth of their fifth child. The photo is of Jeanie, John, their first four children and two of her half-sisters on the occasion of daughter Fannie's christening in 1883.

She must have been a wonderful, kind, loving person - the most beautiful memories of Jeanie King were passed down by her husband and two oldest girls.

Between 1886 and 1894 John moved all the children to Montréal after he remarried while working as an accountant for Jeanie's brother.

William King founded the large Renaud, Patterson & King Furniture Company at Guy and Saint Catherine streets, est. 1876, torn down 1976.

In 2016 Find A Grave contributor John Mc Clenaghan located the newspaper clipping showing Jeanie was laid to rest with her parents in Newtowncunningham, County Donegal, and took the photos.

Additional Half-Siblings:
