Thomas Severe Wattelet, 59, of Stonington, Illinois died at 7:19 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at his residence. He was born December 20, 1942 in Stonington, IL the son of Severe and Iva Allen Wattelet. On October 11, 1968 he married Dee Ann DeMichael in Stonington. Mr. Wattelet was a Viet Nam Veteran serving with the United States Army and was a member of the Stonington American Legion. He retired in October 2001 from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

He is survived by his wife, Dee Ann of Stonington, IL. Son: Brian Wattelet of Stonington, IL and daughter Gina Freeman and husband David of Taylorville, IL. Sister, Mary Jean Younker of Yakima, Washington. There are three grandchildren: David Freeman, Jr., Tyler Freeman and Brendon Freeman. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lorraine Carls.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, September 6, 2002 in McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Younker officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday in the funeral home.
