Cauzine Blanton Carey was born in Lamar County, Alabama, to Harvey Thomas "Tommy" Mordecai and Eppie Robertson Mordecai. She passed away Monday November 1, 1999, at Carraway Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She had lived a number of years in Midfield, Alabama.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 1999 from the Chapel of Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport. Interment was in Mount Olive Cemetery between Vernon and Millport, under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Blanton.
Mrs. Carey is survived by two daughters; Janice and Janie; one son, Dennis; one sister, Louise Graham; three brothers, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her siblings were; Bernice, John Ralph, Floyd, and Rayford Mordecai.
